CORALASSIST LAB
Fieldwork is the best part of a research project for me; this is why I have been working as a field assistant in several projects for the last 15 years. It is not just about collecting data, sampling, or making experiments, it is about being able to see the big picture.
My background is mainly in terrestrial ecology: birds and bats as seeds dispersal, invasive plants, monitoring of dung beetles and diurnal butterflies diversity, hunting patterns of indigenous communities, just to mention some of the projects that I have been involved in. During the last 10 years, I have participated in marine biology projects at Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela, James Cook University, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and now with Coralassist.
Among my interests are photography and filmmaking. I completed a Master's in filmmaking in Madrid back in 2012 and collaborated actively at the Australian Broadcast Company workshops between 2013 and 2016.
